Scripture Engagement Research Initiative
The Scripture Engagement Research Initiative (SERI) an independent research program hosted by Dallas International University. It is funded by private, external donations and ethically governed by the DIU Institutional Review Board. Research is conducted by lead researchers (DIU faculty) with a team of trained research associates (non-tenured faculty). Scripture Engagement Dynamics is the first in a series of SERI research projects. Scripture Engagement Dynamics (SE Dynamics) is a series of integrated Scripture Engagement tools being developed by SERI. The Scripture Impact Podcast continues the Scripture Engagement conversation with thought leaders, researchers, and field personnel from across the Bible translation movement.
A statistical analysis of which factors most influence level of use in vernacular language programs. This research examines seventy Bible translation programs located in different cultural and religious contexts and initiated by different organizations. This is the largest study to date of Scripture Engagement factors in vernacular Bible translation programs.
